Common Set Up Questions
Q: Moldings are not lining up, what is the solution?
A: There are a number of possibilities.
First check the top/back of each cabinet to make sure
the sequence is correct. Moldings are applied by hand
in a particular sequence and must be set up in the same
exact sequence for alignment. At the factory during
assembly, a number is placed on each cabinet - generally the
top and/or back. If the cabinet has a finished
back/top - the number will be on the bottom.
Second, if the the sequence is right, install and tighten
connecting bolts where applicable. The Custom Shoppe
will install female end of bolt in the factory and ships the
male end in the cabinet's hardware bag. Make sure the
bolts are connected and tight.
Third, adjust levelers. Levelers are shipped in the
hardware bag and should always be inserted during set up.
They should be twisted up so they do not extend beyond the
bottom of the case before the cabinet is placed in the
grouping. Then adjusted when the cabinet is in place.
They are most helpful due to differing cabinet weights,
carpeting and uneven floors.
Q: I cleaned the Frosted Glass and
there are streaks?
A: Use a foaming glass cleaner. It will remove the
streaks and can be used in the future for cleaning the
glass. Regular glass cleaner will not work on frosted
glass.
Q: Doors are crooked or don't line
up.
A: Adjust the levelers. Levelers are shipped in
the hardware bag and should always be inserted during set
up. They should be twisted up so they do not extend
beyond the bottom of the case before the cabinet is in
place. Then adjusted when the cabinet is in place.
Adjusting the leveler on one side may help level the doors
which may be off line due to cabinet weight, carpeting or an
uneven floor. |
